Oh Declaration
do you protect this nation’s
righteous elation?
Aliens of harm-
-unequal; these do We farm
from their hidden barns?
Life do you refuge
to restrict war’s mindless stooge
in gold-threadings huge?
A peaceful absolve
finds solutions to resolve
Justice for us all.
Is Liberty lost
to the chains allegiance costs,
silver links…not froth?
Who chose the taking
to Liberty’s forsaking
‘stead of its making?
Happiness pursuit:
Liberty and Freedom’s fruit,
did thieves steal this loot?
Then who was your thief,
to be treated as source-grief
for the losing Chief?
Oh Independence:
Happiness, Life, Liberty.
Who abducted thee?
Oh Constitution,
beloved retribution,
my Institution…
Is death transient?
Usurpations: are they light?
What’s self-evident?
Under this discord
are We the perfect Union
serving the truth’s Lord?
Find non-just powers
that establish false-Justice
disguised as flowers.
Under nation’s stress,
domestic tranquility
falls ’cause of duress.
Do not with deceit
provide the common defence
lest We become cheats.
Life can be Happy
when the general Welfare
secures Liberty.
Can Life be Happy
when this Life’s Posterity
neglects Liberty?
Did you swear an Oath
Constitution’s protector?
Do Justice you loathe,
yet pious defend
but only guard a vector
to lecture un-mend?
Oh Justice are We?
Oh Tranquility are We?
Oh Union are We?
What is the duty
bequeathed for the People-We
beneath Justice tree?
We the People We,
We Justice for Justice We,
We the People’s tree.
Oh Constitution,
oh my peaceful solution,
just absolution…
Do You protect Us?
Or must We enforce You thus,
We the People, Us?
