And the sun washed down,
while the hose fired water,
running legs through grass,
splashing innocence.
Father mows the lawn again,
mother cooks inside.
run and run again.
Inside you go; time to eat,
the future waits, look!
A time of trouble,
yet times of sometimes peace. Run!
The past lies in love.
It’s not over yet,
the run will rise and wash you,
you’ll feel new again.
Run and splash again,
oblivious grass grows on,
sad and glad are green.
